Research Update

It sounds like you all had a great time in DC! I look forward to hearing about it.

I’ve just uploaded the article titles from my research trip today. I’m now through March 1946.  Labor issues, particularly surrounding pay, continue to dominate. I scanned several articles about mills across the state going on strike. Pacific, having already made new labor contracts, kept out of the way.

On a lighter side, a new Southeastern basketball league for textile mill workers was started up in January 1946. The Pacific Terrifics (!!) did very well, and won the Central Carolina division. I cherry picked a few articles about games for those who might be interested.

I hope you all have a great spring break!
